Short Bio

  • Tomoyuki Mannen was born in Tokyo, Japan, in 1988. He received the B.S. degree in 2012 and M.S. degree in 2014 from Tokyo Institute of Technology, Tokyo, Japan, in electrical engineering, respectively. He is currently working toward the Ph.D degree at the Tokyo Institute of Technology. He is a Research Fellow of Japan Society for the Promotion of Science from 2015 to 2017. His main research topic is three-phase active power filters and grid-connection converters. His research interests include power conversion and control method.

Research

  • Control method for making the virtual inductance in droop-controlled inverters without any derivative feedback - this research focuses on the output impedance of the converter using alpha-beta control. Not so high accurate control method can work as a virtual inductance in the converter. Theoretical analysis and simulation clarify the controller design of the proposed method.
