Short Bio

  • Melike Selcen Ayaz graduated from Faculty of Engineering, the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of Sakarya University in 2012. She is currently a Research Assistant at Gazi University, the Department of Energy Systems Engineering since 2013. She is studying Master of Science (MSc) at Institute of Science and Technology of Gazi University, currently doing a six months research in University of Padova. Her main research area covers renewable energy, wind energy, alternating energy sources and smart grids.

  • Nanogrids for Smart buildings - The proposed study and research activity concerns the development of energy management algorithms for nanogrids. The goal is an efficient integration of energy resources, like renewables and energy storage systems, in smart buildings. The control will also enable the possibility to coordinate more buildings connected to the distribution system and then ease the transition to smart low-voltage grids (i.e., smart microgrid).
